UFO sightings have been around for decades, but over the years, talk of UFOs has increased, bolstered by the fact that people in power are talking more openly about the phenomenon. In fact, this morning CNN reported that members of the House Intelligence Committee received a classified briefing on UFOs.
and now JJ Abrams wants in this action. His Bad Robot Productions is teaming up with Showtime for a four-part docu-series that delves into the wild world of unknown flying objects. And you’d never guess what it’s called! OK, yes you will. it is called UFO.
Do you believe in UFOs? Let me repeat it again. Do you believe that UFOs are aliens from another planet? Those are two different questions. I personally believe that UFOs do exist, but I also believe that they are either ordinary things being misidentified, or that they are experimental, but man-made craft. But then there are those who are 100% sure that aliens from outer space are moving around the Earth in their flying saucers. And that’s okay – if you want to believe in that, go with God.
While I’m not inclined to believe foreign visitors, I’m a sucker for a docu-series that talks about the unexplained. so i’m totally on UFO, a four-part docu-series headed to Showtime this August. The series draws from JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot and Glenn Zipper, and promises to “explore our fascination with unidentified flying objects, and help the US government, lucrative private companies, and military rescue the truth behind supernatural phenomena.” What lurking influence may be. Advance your own agenda.”
the truth is out there (maybe)
UFO Directed by Mark Munro (Icarus) and Paul Crowder (riding giants) and “presents disturbing theories of a topic that has recently hit national headlines, and has historically been the focus of powerful politicians and CEOs, while the average citizens pursuing the same truth has been ridiculed and boycotted.” Here is more information:
After a 2017 New York Times story that exploded after the Pentagon had been secretly tracking UFOs for years, the series examines the event’s history through cultural and political touch points, including a shocking number of eyewitness accounts from across the country. Includes testimony. As conversations become more bizarre and credible investigations into alien encounters reach the mainstream, UFOs face the most puzzling questions of all: Why do we believe what we believe? And what lies beyond this decades-long mystery to the elusive truth?
UFO is executive produced by JJ Abrams, Glen Zipper, Mark Monroe, and Sean Stuart by Ben Stephenson and Rachel Rush Rich from Bad Robot. The series is produced by Kevin Lincoln and co-executive produced by Maran Domzelski and Paul McGuire. Showtime will release all four episodes UFO Customers on Sundays at midnight, August 8, before its on-air debut that night at 9:00.
Great post from across the web:
