At last week’s E3 craziness, a title that definitely stood out pokemon were fans pokemon unite, the franchise’s first strategic team battle game. Debuting for the Nintendo Switch this summer, then arriving on Android and iOS devices in the fall, pokemon unite proposals League of Legends-like 5-on-5 action in which players aim to eliminate members of the opposing team and eventually capture their “base”.
recently released trailer pokemon unite Featuring a stylized version of its fun, frantic gameplay and featuring familiar faces like Pikachu, Snorlax, Mr. Mime and Lucario – battle it out for supremacy in a luscious island territory. All of the game’s battles are timed, and each Pokémon in the game has its own signature “Unite” move, though there are no type advantages.
An official game description says, “During these battles, players will collaborate with teammates to capture wild Pokémon, level up, and evolve their own Pokémon.” “They will need to defeat their opponents’ Pokémon while trying to score more points than the opposing team within the allotted time.”
pokemon unite was developed by TiMi Studio Group of Tencent Games, and is free to play with no in-app purchases. It’s also cross-platform compatible, so Android and iOS users will be able to compete with Switch owners when the game expands to mobile later this fall.
