Joker’s ‘troubles’ are back for Google. Researchers at Quick Heal Security Labs have detected a new batch of 8 Joker malware-containing apps on the Google Play Store. Joker is one of the most frequent malware that constantly targets Android devices. Every few months a data-stealing malware finds its way into Google’s official App Store by allegedly altering its code, execution methods, or payload-retrieval techniques. According to the researchers, Joker steals users’ data, which includes SMS, contact list, device information, OTP etc. Google has removed these apps from the Play Store, but they will remain on users’ Android phones until they are deleted. Here are the names of 8 apps that need to be removed.
